Hello again,
I’m Ellie, a senior copywriter currently freelancing in Melbourne.
But before that, I was a child with an absolutely feral temper. My tantrums were so intense, in fact, that my parents took me to see a psychologist who told them my behaviour was typical of a highly creative child. Lucky them.
To everyone’s relief, I grew into a very gentle-natured adult and discovered a far better way to channel my creativity — advertising. Over the last 15 years, I’ve worked for some of Australia’s best agencies and had my work recognised at award shows including Cannes, D&AD, Clios, One Show and more.
I’ve also been:
- Recognised as a One Show Next Creative Leader
- Ranked in The Drum Report’s Top 100 Copywriters
- A judge at local and international award shows
- A tutor and lecturer at AWARD School
Outside of adland, I spent a long time playing drums and touring the country in rock bands. More recently, I’ve started performing at The Moth Melbourne — a live storytelling event held in cities across the world. I’m currently a 3x StorySlam winner and enjoy turning my demonic childhood into content.
